Respite Care Referrals

Even the most dedicated and able primary caregiver or family member can become worn down from time-to-time, and need a break.

TenderCare Services will visit the client to make an initial assessment on the level of care required and will then be at hand to refer in-home respite caregivers at relatively short notice. In-home respite care is available for companion care, personal care, and skilled nursing care for any duration required.

Having made an initial assessment and filled out the necessary paperwork, TenderCare Services can set up in-home respite care referrals with as little as 24 hours’ notice. When the client’s primary caregiver calls to inform us that they need to take a last-minute trip out of town for business or tend to other commitments, TenderCare Services will refer a highly skilled and experienced caregiver to provide temporary respite care. When possible and available, we opt to provide the same caregiver each time. If it is the caregiver’s first visit, TenderCare will facilitate an in-person introduction to the client and their primary caregiver. The client’s caregiver can leave and take care of their commitments and also has the flexibility to return earlier or later than planned, with reasonable notice.
